REAP is an associated body of the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Association (SACBC) which was registered as a South African not-for-profit organisation in 2001. It currently employs 26 staff members, spread between Cape Town (head office), Bloemfontein, Johannesburg, Durban, Northern Cape and Limpopo. This includes 12 graduates in the fields of social sciences or psychology who work directly with students and learners. It is governed by a national board with 14 members which meets twice yearly. REAP has Level 1 BEE status and is independently audited.
