Empowering Futures Through Creativity, Education & Community Support
Established in 2006, Net vir Pret is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to uplifting children, youth, women, and families from marginalised communities. Rooted in Barrydale and extending across five remote farming areas along the iconic Route 62 in the Overberg region, our mission is to create opportunities that inspire growth, creativity, and sustainable development.
At the heart of our work are our multifunctional community centres, vibrant spaces that serve as hubs for arts, education, skills development, and holistic support. These centres foster resilience and belonging while unlocking potential and providing hope for a brighter future.
Net vir Pret is committed to transforming lives by ensuring that children from disadvantaged backgrounds receive the childhood they deserve – one filled with play, creativity, and self-discovery. Through our diverse daily programs, we empower them to dream, explore their talents, and shape their futures with confidence.
Each year over 500 children, young people and families benefit from our initiatives, and we are proud to have successfully guided numerous students into tertiary education over the years. Our Young Leaders Program, made up of local high school students, forms the backbone of our holiday school activities, ensuring that mentorship and leadership development remain central to our mission.
Net vir Pret is more than an organisation—it is a community-driven movement that empowers children, youth, and families to thrive. By fostering creativity, education, and holistic well-being, we create spaces where potential is unlocked and possibilities are realised.
Through inclusivity, collaboration, and unwavering dedication, we continue to contribute to a shared vision of a thriving, empowered society—one child, one family, one dream at a time.
